Responsibilities include: Take ownership of critical plant activities and drive accountability thru the organization. Manage plant KPI’s, customer requirements, IATF16949, ISO14001 and change management. Ensure the quality and delivery of the company's products and services meet or exceed customer expectations through customer and employee engagement and make the workplace more effective and efficient. Own the plant P&L and drives continuous improvement in current and new operations with support from the Director. Understand plant finances, supply chain management, process workflow, and staffing. Zero lost time accidents and continued improvement in safety metrics YOY. Customer facing role – actively present in Customer meetings related to operational activity (launch, quality, delivery). Culture of Quality – Attend and lead the daily quality meetings. Drive operational improvements in the areas of safety, quality, and housekeeping. Ownership of Layered Audits, performing internal audits, conducting interviews, etc. Financial ownership of the cost structure. Prepare annual budget submission with supporting data. Achieve operations financial performance to budget. Active cost reduction program. Achieve operations performance to KPI’s. Successful certification of quality (IATF) and environmental (ISO) standards. Drive change management process to capture all changes with proper approvals. Lead 8433 uplift (operations), as well as participate in project meetings. Own and lead new business quotes (operations) as well as participate in project meetings. Exit BMW, complete last time build. Shut-down Gerotor machining lines (D11 and D13 first, then D14). Combine D11, D13, D14 assembly into one and have one updated test rig. Transfer ICON machining to WIAs. Reduce the wet test complexity on D35U (more PD driven but needs big focus from manufacturing as greatly reduces costs). Update Transfer Case production lines test/computer software. Build professional prototype stand-alone stations (driver, press). Collaborate with supporting plant staff functions to: Ensure smooth day to day functions of the operation. Proactively plan for operational changes. Continuously improve plant operations. Ensure that production and maintenance department is properly staffed and trained to properly support business goals. Administer and enforce the employee handbook. Other duties as assigned. 10% travel to customers' locations.

Work Location: Warren, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.

M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field. University coursework must have included: Statistical Analysis methods and tools; reading & interpreting product drawings; Gage's calibration; resolution & repeatability; and lead team & support multiple projects to support business goals.
