Full-time Experienced Ophthalmic Technician Needed

 

Eye Associates, P.C. is looking for experienced Ophthalmic Technicians. The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for manual refractions (preferably using a trial frame), maintaining patient flow, performing appropriate diagnostic tests and screening, taking patient histories, scribing, refilling prescriptions and assisting the Ophthalmologist with various procedures.

 

Must have previous experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician with knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the eye. Must be able to perform at the minimum: applanation tonometry, slit lamp exams, fundus photography, pachymetry, visual field testing, and OCTs.

 

Preference will be given to individuals who are Certified Ophthalmic Assistants or Certified Ophthalmic Technicians and have had experience with EMR.

 

Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work one weekend per month.

 

Salary to commensurate with experience.
