Job Description

Job Title: Retail Optometrist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Optometrist to join our retail team. As a Retail Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to our customers while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  2. Determine prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  3. Identify and diagnose various eye conditions and diseases.
  4. Provide personalized recommendations for eye care solutions and treatments.
  5. Educate customers on proper eye care practices, including lens care and eye health management.
  6. Assist customers in selecting eyewear frames and lenses that meet their vision needs and style preferences.
  7. Perform adjustments, fittings, and repairs for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, as needed.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  10. Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and eye care technology.
  11. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
  12. Contribute to the overall success of the retail store by actively promoting eye care services and products.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor in optom/Diploma in Optom
  2. Valid state optometry license in good standing.
  3. Proven experience working as an optometrist in a retail or clinical setting.
  4. Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in conducting eye examinations and diagnosing eye conditions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to effectively educate and communicate with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding patient care and customer service.
  9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  10. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
  11. Dedication to staying current with advancements in optometry and eye care practices.
