Job Description:
Configuration management, performance tuning and administration of mission critical production databases
Perform short and long term system/database planning and analysis
Integrate/collaborate with application development and support teams on various IT projects
Contributing to the improvement or Standard Procedures and Documentation
Providing Production database support
Providing input on Oracle database architectures and strategies to meet application availability, scalability and performance requirements
Working on Change Tasks and Incidents to fix or enhance various applications using oracle Databases.
To excel in this role, you will need:
8+ years of experience as an Oracle production and development DBA on Unix/Windows in a 24x7 environment
5+ years' experience configuring and managing Data Guard databases
3+ years in SQL and PL/SQL scripting and tuning
3+ years in Unix shell scripting
In depth knowledge of Oracle internals
Extensive experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Experience in various database backup and recovery methods
Structured Root Cause Analysis
Pro-active database management
Experience with Oracle RAC 11G and 12C, troubleshooting and issue resolution in RAC environment
Oracle Enterprise Manager
RMAN backup and recovery
Experience with GoldenGate
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Be able to support multiple projects/applications at once
On call support 24x7
Result oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently
