Title: Outpatient Professional Coder
location: Troy, MI
Shift: 5 days/week - 8 hrs/day (40 hours/week)
6 Week contract Fully Remote Possibility of extension
Using established coding principles and procedures, reviews, analyzes and codes diagnostic and/or procedural information from the patient's medical record for reimbursement/billing purposes.
Requirements:
- High school graduate with additional training in ICD-10, CPT-4 and evaluation and management coding. CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or COC certification required.
- Minimum of two (2) years'' experience coding outpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4 and E&M classification systems required. Proficient with ICD-10-PCS coding.
LICENSURE: Certified Coder: CPC, COC, CCS or other applicable coding certification through the AAPC and/or AHIMA required
pending work load Will be picking up equipment at Troy, candidates need to be local Looking for someone experienced with HB and PB coding, must have experience with both Must have strong Professional EM 2023 experience and ED coding experience on the facility and pro side Must be Certified Coder: CPC, COC, CCS or other applicable coding certification through the AAPC and/or AHIMA required.
