Lensing Wholesale is a family owned and operated business with 75 years of dedication and service. We are seeking to expand our Overhead Door Technician team with candidates who have the drive to learn an exciting new career or build on current knowledge and skills, in order to service our growing customer base.

We are experiencing exciting times at Lensing, and as business grows, we are looking to grow our Overhead Door Technician team. We are looking to add team members with a strong desire to learn the overhead door business. We will teach you the Lensing way during this training period. As part of the training program, we will rotate you through a variety of functions to help you learn the functions of an overhead door technician. As you learn the trade, there will be opportunities to progress into the other job classifications that exist within the department. Depending on the individual the training program is intended to last at a minimum 6 months not to exceed 12 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a trainee you will work as part of our team learning how the process of installing and servicing all types of overhead door mechanics and systems -including sectional, rolling steel, high speed, service and sliding doors, gate opening systems, operable partitions and dock leveling systems.

Product specific training will be provided to teach new technicians specific techniques and procedures related to our product lines.

An ideal candidate must be able to work in all types of work environments and weather conditions. We are in search of candidates that are willing to work 40 + hours a week to serve our growing customer base. You must have a positive attitude and represent the company while at customer job sites.

Requirements

Flexibility to work overtime, some weekends, and at different job sites.

Ability to complete required training to gain access at local manufacturing sites.
Reliable transportation.
Punctuality, reliability, and professional demeanor.

No experience is necessary, however general construction, carpentry, and/or mechanical aptitude is beneficial.

Driving Requirements:

Must be insurable by companys insurance program to utilize company vehicles.

Valid drivers license with strong driving record

Must possess or obtain For Hire endorsement.

Must pass DOT physical and drug assessment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift bulky/heavy materials overhead.

Ability to work at heights.

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions (hot, cold, snow, rain)


Compensation negotiable based on skills and related work experience.
