Responsibilities of the Overnight Counselor are to provide services to adults who have a diagnosis of mental illness and living in a group home. Specific duties of the Overnight Counselor included:
- Provide supportive counseling.
- Providing rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention.
- Maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our clients ensuring clients are doing their chores correctly and by assisting with cleaning activities.
Overnight Counselor- Full Time Schedule (40 hours per week):
Sunday- Off
Monday- 11:00pm overnight until 9:00am Tuesday
Tuesday- 11:00pm overnight until 9:00am Wednesday
Wednesday- 11:00pm overnight until 9:00am Thursday
Thursday- 11:00pm overnight until 9:00am Friday
Friday- Off starting at 9:00am
Saturday- Off
Note- There is about 4 hours of tasks that need to be complete each night. The Overnight Counselor has to be available for clients if they need anything during the middle of the night; however if it is quiet the Overnight Counselor can rest for the remainder of the shift once the tasks are complete.

Requirements
Skills/Qualifications for the Overnight Counselor include:
- The COVID-19 vaccine and booster are required or properly approved exemption consistent with applicable laws.
- Demonstrated ability in helping others.
- Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience, preferred but not required.
- Both the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- The ability to be organized and have good time management skills.
- College classes in human services, preferred but not required.
- Valid and insurable drivers license preferred but not required.
Benefits
Salary of the Overnight Counselor position:
- $19.03/hour. Overtime is available in our group home setting, $28.55/overtime pay.
