ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading Financial Services organization in the NYC, NY 10013 Area for a contract Markets Oversight Project manager to assist their team. Future onsite work is required as per CDC and client guidelines for safe return, local candidates or able to relocate encouraged to apply!

Role Markets Oversight Project manager
Location NYC, NY 10013 (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite per week)
Position type 12 months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

Provide project management lead for Markets T+1 Governance

This role requires the individual to drive/ direct businesses and functions to manage their plans.
1. Be able to partner with the front office businesses, Compliance, legal, operations and technology, broadly understanding their roles/ businesses, and challenge their feedback/updates.
2. Drive businesses and functions to plan and execute. Support them with coordination efforts and facilitating dependency resolutions.
3. Proactively identify potential problems/ risks by understanding the content and impact.
4. Ensure adherence to the governance standards. Schedule meetings, set clear agenda, document meeting minutes, understanding their process impact, update slides, coordinating project activities across businesses/ functions
5. Monitoring & ensuring that Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies are being addressed, escalating as appropriate
6. Promptly addresses potential issues or topics raised and understands the urgency of working with Markets businesses on a regulatory program
7. Prepare materials for updates to very senior members and reports.

Key Skills required
1. Extremely detail oriented and ability to both investigate deeply into content of the material but also look across the portfolio
2. Ability to drive progress issue-by-issue and ensure deadlines are met
3. Strong interpersonal skills collaborating across large organizations, understanding, and managing inter department dependencies
4. Ability to analyse data, understand the nuances of the problem and communicate on status and suggested solutions
5. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT
6. Articulate and effective communicator, written and verbal
7. Strong leadership with proven track record in driving positive and sustained change
8. Facilitation / Negotiation / Influence especially with Senior stakeholders
9. Organized and Independent Worker who can own and track their and other's work efforts
10. Demonstrated ability to think critically, strategically analytically and to creatively problem solve
11. Proven prior experience/successes
12. Self motivated and dependable to manage own tasks and collaborate with peers/ other PMO teams on larger efforts

Key Skills preferred

  • Experience in trade lifecycle at a bank
  • Knowledge of operational and settlement processes
  • Regulatory experience
  • Experience in or interacting with Front Office businesses within Markets
