This position supports FOH operations of Retail food Operations. May work in any unit assigned. Schedule availability will vary. this is considered a full-time benefits eligible non-exempt position. The starting salary range for the position is $17.60 - $21.55 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform cash operations and be proficient with POS functions and cash counting.
• Assist in food production work includes cutting vegetables, meats & cheeses, some oven & toaster work.
• Ensure that food and beverages are properly and safely served.
• Observe proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Ensure the highest standards in sanitary FOH procedures, condiment, coffee stations, tables, floors and trash storage are clean and always maintained.
• Always Cleaning work areas, including counters, floors, dishes, and related equipment and ensures they are in proper sanitary condition.
• Any duty that may be assigned by the manager on duty

Requirements

Position Prerequisites

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors with effective time management skills.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to follow instructions and procedures and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Knowledge of proper operation, maintenance & cleaning of food equipment a plus.
• Proper handling of knives and other cutting equipment.
• Must have knowledge of proper safe food handling practices. Serve safe certified preferred.
• Work as a Cashier or with a POS experience a plus.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, as well as frequent bending and overhead reaching with twisting motions. Must be able to lift 10-20# numerous times during the day and up to 50lbs several times each day, must be able to push and pull up to 70lbs frequently. Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
