Personal Injury Paralegal

A busy firm firm specializing in personal injury, construction, and insurance litigation is looking for a personal injury paralegal.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Draft letters and other forms of correspondence.
  • FOIA Requests.
  • Obtain and organize documentation required at different stages of pre-litigation.
  • Coordinate with Investigator to obtain photos of scene and witness statements when needed.
  • Process PIP/Medpay.
  • Obtain prior injury/medical and claims/lawsuits history.
  • Review all medical records.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients.
  • Prepare notice letters to Medicare/Medicaid and lienholders.
  • Draft and send out demand packages; monitor receipt and processing of demand.
  • Prepare closing statements, check account balances, and process disbursement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree (preferred).
  • 2+ years of personal injury paralegal experience, in MN
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deliver results, and maintain quality while working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with a broad range of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong research skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus, but not required.
