This position reports directly to the dentist and the office manager.

 



 



Essential Responsibilities



 






    • Be the Master of Your Craft: By fully understanding and accurately performing all of the Dental Hygienists procedures in compliance with the dental practice act and state allowed job functions. By proving your knowledge of dental terminology, pathology, instruments and their proper maintenance, on a continuous and consistent basis. As well as promoting dental health and staying organized and on time, being observant and anticipating the Dr. and patients’ needs before, during and after a clinical procedure. This also includes being responsible for the proper charting procedures and stocking of treatment areas/carts and dental related facility inventory.





 






    • Be a Teacher and Coach: As a Dental Hygienist, you are often the first connection to the patient’s understanding about their oral heal and it is imperative that you are able to educate them in a compassionate way about the health of their mouths and how to improve it.





 






    • Be a Clinical Perfectionist: By following all OSHA & HIPPA rules and practicing proper sterilization at all times.





 






    • Be the Backbone of the Office: By being dependable, trust worthy and communicating effectively with all patients, team members, and colleagues at all times.





 






    • Be a Proactive Team Player: By making yourself an indispensable part or the practice. During your free/unscheduled time you are to be assisting your other teammates. Be proactive, look around and spot what needs to be done. Go above and beyond with this one.





 






    • Be a Difference Maker: By having intrinsic motivation; want more for your patients, this practice and for yourself. Look for opportunities to better yourself and the practice. Present your ideas in a clear and supported way. Be an active and positive participant during departmental huddles, meetings, one-on-ones, and continuing education courses. Be a problem solver! Love what you do!








    • Be Flexible: By understanding that things change and being willing to take on any other duties as assigned as the schedule and practice/business needs dictate.








    • Be Present: By showing up each day prepared both physically and emotionally. While life can get crazy at times, it is imperative that you are able to bring your best self forward every day. Be a problem solver and celebrate others! 








    • Must have current radiology and local anesthesia certificate
