PART-TIME DELIVERY DRIVER & PRODUCT HANDLER (NON-CDL)

VFT makes solid wood tables in Bristol, VT and delivers them throughout New England and New York. We are looking for an individual that wants to be a part of a company that cares about its employees, products, and clients.
We deliver to warehouses, businesses, job-sites, and residences. Routes are planned well in advance based on our production schedule and delivery locations. Weekly schedules and routes are confirmed and communicated at least 1 week in advance. On occasion there will be overnight delivery trips; in the case of an overnight VFT covers a daily food stipend and a private hotel room per driver. We do not schedule or operate deliveries on weekends.
Our vehicles currently include a 26' box truck with lift gate and a 140" van. A CDL is not required for this job.
Often you will be the only in person interaction a client will have with someone at VFT, thus you should conduct yourself with a level of professionalism and respect required of in-home white glove delivery at all times.
Starting pay: $21.00/hr, or commensurate with experience; paid biweekly
Applicants accepted for the position will receive a $500.00 sign-on bonus after the first 90 days of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Load and unload vehicles; handling furniture with exceptional care.
- Wrap furniture with blankets and secure to prevent damage in transit.
- Drive vehicles in rural and metropolitan areas
- Carefully install items in residence, office, warehouse, or other destination.
- Communicate with clients and trade professionals.
- Manage paperwork and day of delivery client communications as necessary.
- Quality control checks and documentation.
- Light assembly and disassemble of products for ease of installation
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS include the following.
- Satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (VFT will cover expenses).
- Ability to lift furniture weighing up to 150lbs in the delivery process.
- Experience driving or moving furniture is preferred but not required.
- Availability for occasional overnight shifts
