Job Summary

As the Part Time Self-Storage Manager at FreeUp Storage (Check out our website here!), you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a self-storage facility in Black Diamond, WA. Managers utilize strong interpersonal skills while interacting with customers, assisting them in identifying storage needs while providing real-time, cost-effective solutions. Resolving issues, answering questions, and providing general information regarding our company and policies are included in daily responsibilities. Managers are active during the day, taking time to inspect, clean out and prepare units for lease, and maintaining the property grounds and buildings. Ensuring the highest standard of quality in cleanliness, safety, and visual appearance is a priority.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Handle phone and in person inquiries
  • Identify customer self-storage needs and other ancillary items
  • Prepare and administer tenant leases
  • Ability to keep accurate tenant records
  • Accept payments, manage daily banking activities
  • Determine proper materials that must be ordered
  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning and preparing units for lease and maintaining grounds
  • Work with maintenance supervisor to identify potential hazards
  • Meet with vendors/subcontractors as needed
  • Daily walkthrough to ensure lock counts and overlocks are accurate
  • Ensure favorable and welcoming visual appearance of facility
  • Communicate regularly with regional manager on facility performance and needs
  • Execute required legal notices to delinquent customers
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Phone & in-person sales ability
  • Evaluate information against a set of standards
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures of facility
  • Self-Storage Management experience a plus
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Experience with either multi family or commercial property lease up preferred

Benefits

$16 - $18/hr. 20 -28 hours per week. Must be able to work weekends.

Being fully COVID vaccinated is a requirement for employment with Spartan Investment Group.
