Job Summary

Baird & Warner is currently seeking to fill the position of a Part Time Sr. Financial Analyst for the Title Business branch. We are looking for a college graduate with 5+ years of work experience to join the finance team that plays an integral role in reporting and analysis for both production and financial aspects.

The role is ideal for a highly-motivated individual who functions with confidence and expertise in a dynamic and evolving business environment. Candidates must have strong spreadsheet ability (advanced MS Excel skills), solid business analysis skills, the ability to balance the details with the bigger picture, as well as great business acumen. The ideal candidate possesses a strong drive to learn, to connect the dots, to innovate, and inclined to take on new challenges.

The expected hours for this position are up to 29 hours/week for each of the first two weeks each month, minimal hours needed for second half of the month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(include but are not limited to the following)

  • Providing accurate, timely, and actionable key business metrics reports to Sales, Operating and Compliance teams, with the goal to gain key insights into performance and efficiency trends which lead to meaningful and actionable decisions
  • Providing financial and expense reports to stake holders for cost review and management
  • Developing and implementing a higher level of automation into regular report processes for efficiency
  • Participating in budgeting, forecasting, and annual and long-range planning
  • Performing ad hoc analysis for executives as required


Job Requirements:

  • Self-motivated to takeover and develop reporting and analysis ability, along with accumulating knowledge of all aspect of the business, such as sales, operation, compliance, etc.
  • Comfortable navigating thousands of data
  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities
  • Continuous effort on efficiency within own work and through process improvement with corresponding departments
  • Self-learner for new applications and technology
  • Vision, initiative, and creativity in approaching technical challenges
  • Ability to think strategically and balance a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on meeting expected deadlines


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required ideally within a financial discipline
  • 5+ years of experience for reporting, business analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis and/or similar business functions
  • Experience working with MS Excel utilizing pivot tables, macros, formulas and report formatting
  • Experience working with business intelligence software platforms (Cognos is a plus)
  • Experience working with Google Apps: Gmail, Google sheet, Google Slides
  • Data Modeling a plus
  • SQL querying experience a plus
