Supports partners of current and prospective faculty and staff to find employment, access resources and integrate into the college and broader community. The position aims to enhance the recruitment and retention of faculty and staff.

This is considered a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The hiring range for the position is $19.90 - $24.88 per hour. This position is a term assignment with a limited duration and 10 to 15 anticipated work hours per week.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a robust set of services to find effective ways to assist the spouses and partners of faculty and staff to identify suitable career opportunities and build community both at the college and in the surrounding area
  • Develop an active resource network of employers locally and in the region
  • Expand the current outreach initiatives for employment opportunities
  • Identify and advocate for academic and non-academic partner employment at the college
  • Host networking and community building events, provide transitional career support and orient partners to campus and
  • community resources
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, academic departments, programs and other functional areas across the institution

Requirements

Position Prerequisites:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Human Resources, office management or related field, Human resource and/or career
  • development experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of the local region and community connections are highly desirable
  • An appreciation for and familiarity with the mission of a liberal arts college desired
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential
  • Experience working with a diverse constituency within a complex organization
  • Consultation and relationship management experience
  • Must have ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:

  • General office environment with long periods of computer work.
  • This role is eligible for @campus or @hybrid flexible work options.
