Partner/Managing Director - BCG X (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - New York, NY) - Lead the design, development, execution, and technical implementation of large-scale, superior IT concepts and architecture solutions for BCG clients and contribute to the strategic direction of BCG X's business. Specific duties include: perform resource planning and analysis of IT and software architecture to execute and manage large-scale national and international IT projects; identify and direct client projects; oversee implementation of new technology products and core systems; develop IT target architectures in an enterprise environment; apply component technologies and service-oriented architectures (SOA) to analyze cybersecurity risks within core IT platforms and processes; utilize procedural models for professional software development including management of quality and risk; evaluate and manage quality assurance for IT; expand BCG's intellectual capital; work on business proposals and leverage expertise to support business development. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or a related field responsible for IT consulting, professional software development, and/or IT project management. In lieu of Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience as previously noted, BCG will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or a related field responsible for IT consulting, professional software development, and/or IT project management. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section) – must possess the following: restructuring complex IT processes and multi-tiered organizations, analyzing IT and software architectures weaknesses, evaluating product core systems, developing technical concepts, and designing software solutions; developing 3-5 year IT roadmaps understanding digital channels, data platform, back office enterprise systems, IT infrastructure, integration (APIs) and cyber security tailored to the organization; leading technology direction, harmonizing disparate IT architectures, providing functional and technical support through mergers and acquisitions; working with data science technologies to develop, implement and commercialize machine learning and forecasting models; developing IT target architectures in an enterprise environment, and developing component technologies and service-oriented architectures to implement modem, flexible architectures; developing data governance strategies, policies and controls to ensure best practices in data management, and data quality; conducting data quality assessments to ensure accurate and reliable data flow processes and analytics; working in large multidisciplinary groups from design, architecture, engineering, and data science practices to develop comprehensive solutions; communicating and delivering technical designs to senior management and translating complex technical subjects; and coordinating and providing thought leadership across groups including data science, engineering and business.
