We are looking for a Parts Inspector/trimmer

 



This is a full time position working 4 days per week Monday thru Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4 PM. Periodic overtime will be worked on Fridays. This has the possibility of a temp-to-hire position!

 



Duties to include:



1) Inspection of molded rubber parts to verify they meet the part drawing and our written quality standards for finish and trim



a) Eventually train other employees and oversee their work.



2) Verify that In Process cards (used to track production status of each batch of parts) are filled out properly and steps on those cards are followed closely.



3) Trimming of molded rubber parts



a) using scissors, clippers, buffers and exacto knives to trim excess rubber from molded parts



b) Eventually be able to train other employees and oversee their work



4) Part assembly



a) Follow written specifications to perform final assembly work of molded parts



Qualified candidates must have the following minimum skills:



1. The ability to work quickly, and efficiently on multiple tasks while keeping them organized



2. Proficiency with English. Must be able to converse and read and write clearly in English



3. Ability to follow written instructions closely to adequately understand our quality documents and specifications



4. High School diploma



5. Must have basic math skills and be able to work with decimals, fractions, percentages easily



6. Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel computer programs



 



Previous experience helpful however not required:



1. Use magnifiers, microscopes to visually inspect molded precision rubber parts



2. Ability to read drawings, understand dimensional tolerances



3. Ability to follow written specifications for part quality and how to use them during the inspection process to approve parts for shipment



4. Ability to process using In Process cards to keep track of each batch of parts.
