Science Matters is looking for experienced Instructors and Helpers to come join our team.

We provide QUALITY after school STEM programs at local elementary schools with six different curriculum a year and summer camp.

We provide clubs in 30 schools across the following school districts...

• Portland Public Schools


• Hillsboro


• Beaverton


• Sherwood


• Newburg

Responsibilities

• Teach students in the after school program at local elementary schools.


• Available at least 2 days a week (premium for 4 days a week), Monday-Friday, within the 2:00 to 4:45 pm window.


• Teach meaningful STEM through hands-on experiments and Science Literacy


• Create a take-home project each week with students

Qualifications

• Love of learning and working with students


• Enthusiastic about teaching STEM


• Experience working with students (can be volunteer work)


• Effective classroom management skills, with teaching experience preferred (but we will train)


• Energetic, punctual, and very dependable


• Must have reliable transportation


• Supplies, curriculum, and paid training provided


• Fingerprint Background Check Required


• Instructor Compensation: starts at $28 per club (2-hr window) and grows depending upon experience.


• Helper compensation: $18.50 per club (90 minute window)
