Patient Accounts - Claims Analyst - PATIENT ACCOUNTS Responsible for downloading and exporting claims daily. Claims must be audited and edited to meet payor guidelines. Analyst monitors outstanding claims to resolve balances. The Claims Analyst will correct complex collection barriers and secure timely and accurate payments from all payors. Education: High School graduate or equivalent, Hospital billing experience preferred. Necessary Skills: Must exercise good judgment in handling government and/or non-government accounts and understand managed care and insurance contractual arrangements. Knowledge of Billing and Collection. Must be detail oriented, possess basic mathematical skills, and have sharp analytical skills to audit accounts to resolve financial issues. Must demonstrate a positive demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be professional in both appearance and approach. Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks simultaneously including discussing outstanding claims with multiple insurance companies taking actions and appeals process. Must be able to resolve problems within the guidelines if established policies and procedures. Must be able to read and understand information. Maintains strictest confidentially; adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations.
