Summary

Responsible for contacting new patients to set up medical devices, monitoring for patients initial readings, walking through device setup, and scheduling first contact with patients nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Contact new patients to set up medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, glucometers, scales, and pulse oximeters
  • Assist patients with the setup of their medical devices
  • Assist patients with any medical device troubleshooting issues
  • Monitor for patients initial device readings to ensure that readings are transmitting to monitoring platform
  • Input the new patients information into the monitoring platform
  • Within 24 hours of the equipments arrival at the patients home:
  • Contact the patient and schedule an appointment with the patients nurse
  • Ensure patients medical devices are turned on and the first reading is completed
  • Follow proper telephone etiquette and protocol when answering or making phone calls
  • Follow-up on no-show new patients until patient has successfully communicated with their nurse
  • If patients preferred language is anything other than English, coordinate appropriate communication to meet the needs of the patient

Requirements

  • Administrative experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Familiarity with EMRs
  • Familiarity with soft phone lines
  • Attention to detail
  • Friendly, problem-solving demeanor
