Job Description: Role Summary

The Crew Pay Analyst II role is responsible for accurate processing of pay for Pilots or Flight Attendants in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and the department’s standard operating procedures at *** and Horizon Air.



Scope & Complexity

• As a member of the Crew Pay team, this individual contributor role supports crew pay analysis.



Key Duties

• Supervised to deliver processes and ensures accurate pay for crew members per the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Follow established procedures, with additional research, to leverage CBA expertise to provide excellent customer service to internal customers (e.g., Flight Attendants, Pilots, and other management employees).

• Work with crew members on issues related to pay.

• Research and resolves all payroll questions including driving resolution with other teams if appropriate.

• Communicate clearly and confidently with Flight Attendant and/or Pilot union on crew pay focused contractual requirements.

• Identify and provide input on process improvements within the team and with other departments including IT, Crew Planning, Crew Scheduling & Corporate Payroll.

• Perform testing support for payroll related software systems

• Participate in cross team meetings & serve as a subject matter expert for specific components of payroll processes and the CBA.

• Define & document internal processes and workflows and ensures they are kept up to date.

• Compile and publishes team metrics.

• Assist training of new pay analysts.



Job-Specific Skills & Education

• Required

o A minimum of 1 year of proven crew pay, accounting, payroll, auditing, data analysis, scheduling or related experience in a mid-sized or larger company.

o Excellent ability to focus on details with demonstrated accuracy and analytical skills.

o Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

o Excellent time management skills and the ability to focus under pressure to meet strict production deadlines.

o Documented experience working with labor groups and contracts.

o Ability to dissect current processes, identify inefficiencies and promote change.

o Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel, (including formulas & graphs), MS Outlook and MS SharePoint

o High school diploma or equivalent is required.

o Minimum age of 18.

o Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Preferred

o A bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, labor or related disciplines.

o Expertise in labor contract pay applications.
