As a Senior Project Manager for the Payments business - one of the most exciting and rapidly innovating areas in the entire financial services industry - you will be instrumental to delivering groundbreaking marketing initiatives by aligning stakeholders, driving decision-making for creative strategies, resources, and timelines, while managing a team of campaign project managers to maximize results. You will efficiently and methodically plan, organize, and prioritize deliverables and resources working across multiple internal or external teams and multiple projects for yourself and others on your team. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Planning and Operations team, work within the Project Management Office, and help meet departmental goals and objectives, by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.

Job Responsibilities
  • This new dynamic role will move between standard Marketing Project / Program Management to innovating and expanding on the rollout of our Operating Framework by leading and driving multiple, simultaneous projects, scheduling complex timelines, managing other project managers, allocating resources, understanding scope, and aggregating post-mortem feedback and data.
  • You will play a critical role in facilitating and collaborating with various teams of in-house marketers and cross department teams involved in the projects to ensure the successful execution of marketing projects from our marketing teams, external vendors, and external business partners including other lines of business by coordinating with and managing the relationships to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • This position will work closely with internal and external partners supporting content creation, managing content approvals, as well as the execution of campaigns and events while ensuring all deliverables adhere with any regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Handle project closure activities by conducting post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned, capture feedback, and contribute to process improvements for future projects.
  • Lead and motivate a team of project managers by ensuring effective collaboration and communication. Provide training, guidance, support, and mentorship to team members. Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Partner with our internal marketing group and key lines of business to execute development and execution of campaign collateral and deliverables across a global landscape by leveraging your strong track record of successfully managing collaborative campaign and non-campaign marketing projects.
  • Work cross-functionally to support the organization by facilitating regular project meetings including kickoffs, managing project scope, owning project timelines by planning/ scheduling deliverables, maintaining risks/issues log, crafting accurate statuses and proactively communicating key milestones, deadlines, risks, and potential scope changes to ensure buy-in through the organization by delivering date changes early and clearly to stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or another related field.
  • Certification or training in Agile, Scrum or PMP that is supported by an advanced understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Minimum 10 years of overall project management experience with at least 7 years of direct hands on in-house marketing / advertising project management experience that showcases your ability to move fluidly between the 30K foot view and the 3-foot view, driving execution.
  • Successful record of planning, executing, and delivering marketing projects on time, within budget and to specified requirements while meeting organizational and stakeholders' goals by leading highly collaborative cross-disciplined global / matrixed teams consisting of various skill sets that can require nuanced approaches given geographic and cultural sensitivities.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with partners such as subject matter experts, compliance, legal and other regulatory groups is a must; experience in the processes / procedures and governance required to lead projects and programs in a highly regulated environment is a plus.
  • Remains calm under pressure. Your decision-making skills are based on strong analytical abilities to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions enabling you to set clear expectations, remain focused on tactical execution, cut through the noise to determine the true risks and issues.
  • You are impeccably organized, results-driven, and have a balance of left- and right-brain thinking that makes you a creative problem-solving self-starter that is comfortable and has the tenacity to operate in the gray, enabling you to excel under tight deadlines. While you enjoy working independently, you bring a collaborative and objective mindset that seeks to understand others viewpoints and engages in positive, productive conflict and unfiltered debate of ideas.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • You balance the need to have the necessary critical conversations for solutioning with the wisdom to escalate when needed to resolve issues effectively. Often solicits feedback and reacts productively to criticism or negative feedback. A humble, dependable, transparent team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and editing skills enables you to breakdown complex business problems and workflows into meaningful components that are understandable by various levels. It is essential that you are comfortable interfacing with all levels of management.
  • Working knowledge of Workfront or comparable enterprise project management tools is needed to be successful.
  • Prior project management experience in financial services, or complex regulatory environment a plus.
