Pediatric Infectious Disease Physicians needed by Erlanger Health at a location in Chattanooga, TN.
Treat child patients with infectious and communicable diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Work with infectious diseases of all types and in all organs, from the common cold and flu to HIV, respiratory infections, parasitic infections, and some allergies. May use preventive medicine; in other cases, antibiotics may be prescribed. Recommend laboratory tests or x-rays on patients to find the cause of infection or to determine the seriousness of the infections.
Requires M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent; completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics; completion of fellowship in Infectious Diseases or completion of fellowship or subspecialty residency in pediatric infectious diseases; and eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Tennessee.
