As People Operations Manager at Paymerang, you will be critical to continue building an employee-oriented, progressive culture for our organization, and crucial to our HR Compliance and Administration programs.

In this role, you will oversee our HR Compliance, Payroll and Benefits functions, and will have the opportunity to engage different parts of the business with a variety of People related issues. You will oversee setting payroll and benefits strategy in conjunction with the VP of People and Culture, and you will be the primary resource for People related legal requirements, audit requirements and other compliance requirements. Paymerang operates in multiple states and countries, so a strategically focused leader will be vastly important in maintaining momentum among our People team.

Major Areas of Focus:

  • Overseeing payroll processing
  • Benefits and Benefits Administration
  • HR related compliance and human resources related reporting
  • Policy and procedure refinement and development
  • Compensation Administration

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing; ensuring process is efficient and effective and serving as a backup when necessary
  • Proactively identify and improve payroll process efficiencies
  • Comprehensively manage benefits offerings for talent, including working with our broker to ensure best offerings are available
  • Seek out solutions to benefits questions or use cases present them to the VP of People and Culture with a forward-thinking point of view
  • Maintain HR compliance and audit related deadlines; work across function to ensure HR and People processes are free from friction and friendly to employees
  • Identify process improvements for compliance matters
  • Maintain and iterate policy and procedure, including thoughts around multi-state and international entities.
  • Partner with the VP of People and Culture to administer a compensation program; regularly create compensation and market reviews
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels of the business in People related communication and issue resolution, including FMLA, ADA and other compliance areas.

Requirements

What were looking for:

  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, 7+ years preferred
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business, or a related field
  • A proactive mindset the ability to identify potential problems and solve them independently when possible
  • The ability to communicate clearly with leaders and other stakeholders across the organization when problems need to be escalated or involve multiple inputs
  • Ability to lead and provide oversight of payroll processing and benefits programs
  • Prior experience managing or supporting payroll administration
  • Previous experience researching, creating, and maintaining HR policy and procedure
  • Ability to provide leadership of others effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Passion and Positivity an attitude that prioritizes one of our core values
  • A proactive response to problem solving with a bias towards action
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice to haves:

  • Previous experience in a multi-state, global organization
  • Certification in HR or Payroll
  • Previous experience with ADP WorkforceNow
  • Compensation administration experience
  • Previous exposure to Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activity and integration
