The Role:

Were looking for a People Team Coordinator to join our global People Team. The People Team Coordinator is critical to the success of our team and will exemplify our values every day. Youll provide tactical support with daily administration of Canopys employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations and other human resource functions. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are crucial to the success of this role. Requirements

  • Provides direct Global People Team operational support to employees on a day-to-day basis.
  • Guides employees through various People Team processes and policies, benefits enrollments and changes and employment verification processing.
  • Support in tactical execution of on-boarding, performance management, training, and off-boarding.
  • Prepare accurate new employee personnel records. Submits background screens and checks results to ensure compliance in US/UK regions. which can include checking government databases
  • Responsible for facilitating the pre-hire process to include processing background checks, computer setup, etc. as defined by our new hire process checklist.
  • Assists with and may conduct new hire orientation.
  • Maintains knowledge of HRM databases and procedures. Serves on project teams for system optimization initiatives and participates in end-user testing of system modifications or enhancements.
  • Coordinates and performs functions related to benefit and compensation tasks or projects.
  • Coordinates the administrative and support tasks for both paid/unpaid leave processing. Ensures forms are completed accurately and completely and compliant within each region.
  • Creates all contractual change documentation inc salary increases, variations to terms and conditions, benefit changes.
  • Conducts audits of benefits or other People Team programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Reviews job applicants, coordinates interviews, and assists with the recruitment process.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • Serves as a brand ambassador of the company to internal and external partners.

This role will be great for you if you have:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Working understanding of global human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with various HCM and ATS systems, preferably Workable + Rippling
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity

What would set you apart from others is

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a global capacity.
  • Understanding of US State and Federal and UK employment law, policies and processes
