Location: Duluth,MN and surrounding areas

Hours of Position: Flexible scheduling depending on clients' needs, every other weekend availability is required

Compensation:$12.00/Hour

 

Job Summary

AHL Healthcare Group, Inc's BRIDGES to Success has an immediate opening for a Personal Support Specialist position. The Personal Support Specialist supports individuals with disabilities, within their own home across the Duluth area, to help maintain that independent setting. The Personal Support Specialist provides billable services such as but not limited to homemaker, companion, night supervision and personal support. The goal is to provide necessary supervision, socialization or housekeeping services to maintain community living. This may include assisting clients with self-care, social/recreational activities, laundry or housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, home management tasks or other activities of daily living.

 

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have a current Driver's License, car insurance, and a clean record


• This position requires driving; you will be using your personal vehicle for driving between locations/transporting residents if needed


• Must be able to pass a MN State Background Study


• Must be available to work every other weekend


• Ability to work independently, as well as within a group


• Compassionate and caring demeanor


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• A working phone that you are able to be reached at by supervisors and clients in case of scheduling changes. You must have a portable device to download applications on for time keeping and documentation purposes
