Personnel Officer (Belmont, MA): Prepare and maintain personnel and employment records related to job performance, recruitment, hiring, recommendations, disciplinary actions, absences, permitted leaves, promotions and terminations by utilizing human resources management software. Develop, implement and maintain recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs. Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures. Assist management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issue. Develop and prepare training programs specific to food industry for employees to improve job skills. Analyze employment-related data, maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks and performance evaluation forms.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Management, or related field and 1 year of experience as Personnel Analyst, Personnel Officer, Human Resources Supervisor, or related position. Experience discussing business and recruitment strategies, practices, and policies with managers. Experience evaluating effectiveness of personnel policies and practices. Experience organizing training need analysis meetings and preparing training schedules. Experience preparing and maintaining organizational reports.
