Position Overview (office-based in Rosemont, IL with hybrid flexibility; relocation is not available for this position):

The Planning & Measurement Operations Manager will support both the overall Unified Marketing Plan UMP planning process and measurement practice. This role will:

  • Provide support in managing the 3-year strategic planning process across all checkoff and affiliated organizations (national, local, etc.)
  • Support measurement and reporting processes against UMP goals and objectives across all checkoff entities, define and improve the process for collection of results performance vs. plan goals, review current tools and continuously look for ways to evolve and optimize the process
  • Refresh and refine planning worksheets/templates, facilitation guides, planning materials, etc. to ensure consistency of execution across teams and to ensure the planning process delivers on needs of the checkoff and affiliated organizations
  • Consolidate forms, feedback and presentation materials, etc. to inform planning and measurement discussions as well as to support presentation materials for planning and measurement meetings/discussions
  • Organize and analyze data, prepare presentations for leadership teams across the checkoff, to include but not limited to DMI, Innovation Center, affiliate orgs, etc.
  • Anticipate needs of key stakeholders, proactively problem solve with solutions-oriented mind-set
  • Develop annual calendar of events, to include but not limited to internal meeting and planning meetings cadence
  • Bring new thinking, approaches and ways of working to enhance and continuously improve the planning, measurement and reporting process
  • Provide support, training and guidance on planning and measurement processes, across teams, as needed
  • Manage timelines, meeting invites, agenda and coordination of efforts across planning, measurement timelines and federation-wide meetings, board meetings, etc.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited university

Min 5 years in project management, process improvement, managing timelines, experience with corporate planning, strategic planning and/or business analytics functions a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Problem solving skills, solutions oriented

Ability to think critically and connect the dots across teams

Strong work planning and project management skills

Works collaboratively in a team environment

Strong written and verbal communications, ability to provide clear direction and synthesize results

Ability to work across national/regional organization structures

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Office suite
