Plant Operations Director - Plant Operations The Director coordinates and participates in all procedures pertaining to the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and biomedical equipment in the hospital. They are responsible for directing the activities of Plant Operations, along with the Hospital Safety and Security Programs. They will be the designated individual to assess compliance with the Life Safety Code, complete the electronic Statement of Condition (e-SOC), and manage the resolution of deficiencies. The plant operations director serves as the Life Safety Officer and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Hospital wide safety programs as well as the safety and training programs for the facility. These functions will include safety, security, hazardous materials and wastes, fire/life safety, medical equipment, and utilities management. They will be identified by senior management and will possess the ability to intervene whenever environmental conditions immediately threaten life or health or threaten to damage equipment or buildings. Qualifications Education: BS in Engineering or Associate in Mechanical Technology or equivalent work experience Eight (8) years, hospital or health care facility experience Five (5) years leadership experience in a medical facility Necessary skills: (Other than trade skills) Knowledge of national, state, and local codes as related to a hospital setting such as o NFPA 99, NFPA 101, ICRA, ILSM, FGI, LOTO, OSHA, EPA, NC DEQ Member of ASHE CHFM certification a plus Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations Knowledge of various hospital mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems Possess analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Information Position Type : Full Time Shift : Other Contact Information Megan Shrewsbury - Organizational Development Specialist/Patient Experience Champion Human Resources 924 N.
