Giant Worldwide, LLC is a digital distribution and technologies expert for the entertainment industry. We service many of Hollywoods largest studios as well as smaller independent studios. Giant has serviced thousands of titles to over 100 different VOD and broadcast platforms including iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Google Play. In addition to our digital VOD offerings, we are also experts in UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD compression and authoring.

We are seeking a full-time,Post-Production IT/Technical Support Specialistto join our growing team. You will help implement, test and train cloud based automated video transcoding, packaging and delivery systems as well as establish and maintain on premise video solutions and storage.

Responsibilities

  • Support Windows 10 and macOS Production and Corporate level software
  • Resolve and update employees on IT support requests
  • User account management (creation, access levels, removal)
  • Install new software and hardware drivers
  • Log service requests and update tickets as needed
  • Update and patch computers to maintain security baselines (coordinated with InfoSec)
  • Answer employee questions regarding computer systems
  • Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Change configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Assist in determining new hardware requirements for Production workstations
  • Work with Head of Engineering on MAM setup and testing, automated tool scripting, and requirements gathering
  • Support Engineering with basic AWS setup, user accounts, and permissions
  • Work directly with Operations and IT stakeholders to schedule maintenance windows
  • Support Operations with selecting and testing new software to replace end of life software
  • Track software licensing and provide reports as requested


Requirements

  • Experience supportingvideo/audio editing and transcoding software and hardware including Resolve, Transkoder, Cortex, Premiere, Media Encoder, Final Cut, and Compressor.
  • Ability to field IT general support requests in a post-production environment ranging from email accounts to networking issues.
  • Knowledge of cloud based workflows for processing video.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to present fast and creative solutions.
  • Must be comfortable working in teams and alone in a highly technical support role.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience with setting up and maintaining DAM systems and automated transcoding and packaging system.
  • Experience working in Python, Go, Java
  • Knowledgeable with APIs and connecting different system
  • Past experience with Cloud Computing platforms: AWS (including Lambda), Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine or similar
  • Past experience working with distributed systems, especially in a media business.
  • Working experience with data transport tools such as iTunes Transporter, FTP, Aspera, and Signiant

Benefits

Compensation: The hiring compensation range for this position is $65,000 - 75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities.
