• Position Summary:
• The primary responsibility of the business intelligence developer is to develop tabular and multidimension analytical models using SSAS or Azure Analysis Services. Additionally, the developer will contribute to admin support and Power BI dashboard development activities.
• The Business intelligence developer is a "hands on" technologist with advanced expertise using SQL Server Management Studio and MS Visual Studio and responsible for designing and implementing scalable, user-friendly analytical models and visualization solutions.
• The developer will embed advanced business logic into the solutions via a combination of languages, primarily DAX ,MDX and SQL, and utilize enterprise features of Analysis Services such as row-level security and partitions.
• Technical aptitude, programming skills, managing customer expectations, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present insights in a clear concise and effective manner are critical and necessary in this role.
• Ability to be detail-oriented and an excellent, creative problem-solver, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple disparate streams of work in a challenging, dynamic environment.
• Ideal candidate will be a self-directed individual, capable of assuming ownership of the SDLC process beginning with translating Business and Functional Requirements to Technical Design leading to Development, Testing and Deployment.

• Knowledge & Skills:
• Advanced experienced with the DAX language including the manipulation of filter context, variables, and performance techniques. Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
• Ability to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
• Significant hands on experience developing SQL Server Analysis Services models including connectivity modes supported and their implications, dimensional modeling design techniques, and Tabular model features such as KPIs and Perspectives, is mandatory.
• Develop process workflows and wireframe sketches to help business design effective dashboard solutions. Support dashboards, KPIs, and reports, sourced from a variety of data sources, using Power BI.
• Expert knowledge on connectors and interfaces supporting the MS Azure stack of tools and proficiency in data transformation, data consolidation and working with complex SQL statements and stored procedures is essential to be successful in this role.
• Experienced at data visualizations, advance calculations and analytical user interfaces, using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc. using Power BI.
• Experience with Performance tuning of Power BI data models as well as Power BI reports for better results.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, as well as Enterprise warehouse data models, to understand data management requirements.
• Technical expertise regarding data mining, database design development, data modelling, data governance and unit testing.
• Demonstrate solid organizational and time management skills with ability to perform detailed tasks with high degree of accuracy.
• Must have ability to work in a structured environment as well as performing in high-pressure ad hoc mode to address urgent needs.
• Strong interpersonal and consultative skills to translate and understand reporting requirements. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction

• Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Mathematics or related area and Demonstrated analytical and computer proficiency necessary through a combination of work and class work.
• 5+ years in depth hands on working experience on Microsoft platform, developing SSAS tabular models using MS Visual Studio, including knowledge of cascading parameters, partition techniques row-level security, and cube value formulas.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, as a programmer, data engineer or data warehouse specialist.
• Ability to quickly grasp both technology and business concepts in an ever-changing environment.
• Convert functional requirements into technical specifications. Perform data analysis, data mapping, functional testing, unit testing, and test case preparation using required tools based on project needs.
• Demonstrate ability to understand logical relationships, testing and validation to ensure that programming faithfully replicates these relationships.
• Design and develop DDL scripts, ad hoc queries and data models for high performance projects and deliverables. Understand and evaluate existing SQL scripts and Data Models.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate technical recommendations to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner.
• Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Preferred:
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), the Power BI Report Server (PBIRS), or paginated reports in Power BI.
