The Power Platform Analyst II contributes to the value and usability of tools that enable and empower our employees and customers; by leading the design, development, testing, delivery and maintenance of user interfaces and the software that powers them. Under limited supervision, the analyst must turn user requirements into highly usable interfaces that capture and present data, using Microsoft Power Platform Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate.
As an Analyst on the Business Process Architecture team, you must be very adaptable, with the ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies as needed. You will engage with stakeholders to understand feature requests and requirements, and how those support business needs and process. You will work with teammates to create user interface components that add up to an effective user experience. The Power Platform Analyst II applies principles and best practices of computer science and UI design. The candidate must demonstrate technical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Use your experience to develop User Interfaces using MS Power Platform: Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate
Participate in efforts to design, develop, maintain, improve, test, and release software to improve the companys Tools and Systems
Understand and apply best practices in areas of MS Power Platform
Review, make recommendations, and implement refactoring projects in areas of the Power Platform
Perform data transformations using Power Query (M) and DAX
Develop multi-dimensional dataflows and data models (star schema, snowflake schema) to prepare and organize data for analytical consumption
Document existing and new development areas
Perform training within the team on development topics as well as to the user groups on report usage
Provide technical support to the Business Process team and others in the company
Recommend corrective actions for data, or process deficiencies
May be called on to participate in other areas within the development team
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience in a related field
3-6 years of experience working in a similar Platform Analyst type role
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience in Power Platform
Some experience in business process analysis
Some experience in Power Apps and Power Automate
Highly desired experience with:
Microsoft PL-x00 certification
Relational Database Systems and SQL queries
Familiar with advanced operators within Power Platform (e.g. Parameters, advanced measures, advanced DAX)
Row level security
SharePoint architecture / design
Performance analysis
UX / UI principles for report creation
Python data manipulation
Experience with Azure Cloud Platform
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $85,000 to $108,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
