Job Description:

As a Precast Erection Manager at Katerra Construction Company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of precast concrete erection activities on construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely installation of precast elements, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a team of skilled workers.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:

-Collaborate with the project management team to develop a comprehensive erection plan for precast elements.

-Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate interpretation of construction documents and shop drawings.

-Plan and schedule resources, equipment, and personnel required for precast erection activities.

-Conduct site visits to evaluate site conditions, identify potential challenges, and develop appropriate solutions.

Team Management:

-Lead and manage a team of skilled workers, including crane operators, riggers, welders, and ironworkers.

-Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that work is executed in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations.

-Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project progress, address concerns, and provide necessary training and support.

Quality Control:

-Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the installation of precast elements meets project requirements and industry standards.

-Conduct inspections to identify any defects or non-conformities, and develop corrective actions.

-Work closely with the quality control team to monitor and document the quality of work during the erection process.

Safety Compliance:

-Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations throughout the precast erection process.

-Conduct regular safety meetings, provide safety training, and promote a culture of safety among team members.

-Identify potential safety hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Communication and Collaboration:

-Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth coordination of precast erection activities.

-Collaborate with other construction teams to integrate precast elements with other building components.

-Provide regular progress reports to project management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and recommended solutions.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

-Proven experience in managing precast erection projects, preferably in the construction industry.

-Strong knowledge of precast concrete construction techniques, erection methods, and industry best practices.

-Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and building codes related to precast concrete.

-Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

-Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

-Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
