ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the health and safety of all employees that are in the Plant Supervisor's areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor production output, product quality and shipments
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of hourly employees.
  • Must be able to perform rigging
  • Maintain the Plant mechanical systems in safe operating condition
  • Works to ensure that all safety, maintenance, and cost objectives are met or exceeded for Plant operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Communicates mine plans, changes and company policies and procedures to other supervisors & employees
  • Positioned in a mine maintenance department supporting all surface equipment
  • Maintain communication equipment in operable condition
  • Assist in the preventive maintenance program for assigned area
  • Regular inspection of equipment to ensure operating condition and removing from service for repair when required
  • Order parts and supplies for repair work
  • Participate in the evaluation of equipment life as to rebuilds or replacements
  • Read/interpret prints/schematics
  • Other plant related maintenance duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have prior coal prep plant experience
  • Electrical experience is preferred

Requirements

  • MSHA Surface certification required
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Construction or related experience is preferred
  • Underground training is not required
  • Rigging experience is preferred
  • Welding and cutting metal are preferred
  • Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
  • Job duties will be performed on or above the surface. Those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications and successfully complete industry approved training courses.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires (subject to applicants religious practices)
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (subject to the applicants religious practices)
  • Work environment is on or above the surface
  • Must be able to work on heights
  • Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
  • Ability to push/pull as needed
  • Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
  • Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
