Encore Access is a small and rapidly growing company in the entertainment space. We provide services to ensure our clients can get the access they want to more than 120,000 live concerts, events, and theater productions nationwide.

Requirements

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for maximizing profitability and managing risk for the companys portfolio of live event inventory. Using your knowledge of popular and current events, as well as leveraging industry and proprietary data, you will make decisions to optimize pricing and help meet sales goals in a constantly changing marketplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Perform market research and quantitative analysis to help our sales teams set price levels for inventory of live event tickets.
  • Closely monitor real-time and historical sales trends and primary market onsale dates to optimize inventory movement.
  • Become a subject matter expert and function as an advisor to Purchasing Managers with the goal of expanding and enhancing future buying opportunities.
  • Maximize profitability and manage risk by setting prices to achieve sales goals.
  • Analyze the event-ticketing marketplace for new ways to generate revenue and profit.
  • Proactively manage existing inventory based on sales data to preempt potential problems.
  • Proactively ensure tickets are being properly mapped and broadcast to all resale exchanges

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or related field required
  • At least 2 years experience in buying, selling, or pricing inventory
  • Strong knowledge of the live entertainment market including sports, concerts, and theater.
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Highly meticulous and organized with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment and execute real-time quick decision making when needed
  • Availability Monday-Friday during the normal high demand onsale times of 10am to 3PM EST to assist with real time pricing for high demand onsales
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
  • Ability to multi-task, and work independently

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • For this role, knowledge of the music and concert industry is a strong preference
  • Tableau experience is preferred
  • Uptick pricing tool experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with technology is helpful. We use home-grown systems, and this role will need to be comfortable communicating needs with the product development team
  • Prior use of Lucid Charts, Jira/Confluence a plus
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets and/or Tableau
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Positive, personable, and comfortable working in a small business environment
  • Collaborator with willingness to learn and be coached for continuous improvement

Salary Range for this exempt position is $80,000 - $125,000 annually.

How We Determine What We Pay
As a fully remote employer, Encore Access determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicants location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
