Job Title: Pricing Analyst



 



Location: Reston, VA

 



IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our team as a strategic thought-leader.  In this position the candidate will be directly involved with strengthening our pricing methodologies, practices and processes.  He/She will own the pricing process and manage compliance to strategy and track results to provide the necessary support for objective decision-making.  The pricing lead will serve as the company’s primary pricing contributor which will provide significant growth opportunities for the successful candidate.  The selected candidate for this position will join the IndraSoft team at the Reston, VA headquarters.   • Bachelor’s degree, plus 4-7 years of experience working for a government contractor developing pricing. A business concentration is preferred but not required when combined with relevant experience in the areas of contracts, pricing and compliance.

  • Advanced Excel modelling skills for price and budget sensitivity.

  • A compliance mindset with hands-on knowledge and experience working in an established government contracts and pricing team.

  • Ability to own end-to-end pricing processes, including identifying opportunities, developing programs, approving or denying proposals, tracking results and managing compliance.

  • Assist capture and sales team on price to win strategies

  • Working understanding of, and exposure to: Varied government proposal solicitations, with the ability to interpret and diligently comply with all instructions for cost/price/business sections of our proposal; the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and agency FAR supplements; differences in the range of contract-types (e.g. fixed price, T&M, labor hour, cost-reimbursement, driving all into a well formed, accurate and competitive price proposal.

  • Familiarity with the compliance and budgetary relationship between contract/proposal pricing, contract award values, contract performance periods, and project reporting.

  • Attention to quality detail in the areas of records and documentation, business processes, customer satisfaction, and workload prioritizations.

  • Must be detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently with a minimal level of supervision as well as part of a team.

  • Collaborative, flexible and able to balance the need for structure with the efficiency and effectiveness of action-oriented, non-bureaucratic and non-hierarchical approaches. Excellent time management, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and short deadlines.



 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:




  • Provide in-depth, accurate analyses, modeling, reporting and strategic pricing and contracting solutions to meet or exceed IndraSoft’ s and customers objectives.

  • Review solicitation requirements to develop cost and pricing models to align with solicitation requirements.

  • Monitor, evaluate and refine pricing and contracting models.

  • Work collaboratively with all internal/external customers, partners and other stakeholders.

  • Participate in cross-functional or other project teams; taking a leadership role in appropriate projects.

  • Develop price-to-win scenarios, support and build cost analysis.

  • Create standard templates and pricing models.

  • Provide support and leadership for contract proposal preparation, proposal cost volume development and cost estimation.

  • Implement policy and procedure for estimation system approval.

  • Ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), and IndraSoft policies and procedures.

  • Supports price and rate negotiations with teaming partners.

  • Ensure assigned goals and objectives are met and that assigned projects are completed on time, to high standards and within budget.

  • Develop understanding, knowledge, skills and abilities for other team members and/or train and educate various internal customers, team members or stakeholders on pricing and contracting strategies, research, analysis, methodologies, processes, systems and tools.

  • Implement pricing and contracting changes; including supporting development and delivery of detailed communication and implementation plans and materials to effectively roll-out new or changing pricing and contracting strategies.

  • Tools: apply proficiency with common business office tools including the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Communications: must be a strong listener and customer focused with excellent internal and external facing written/verbal communication skills;

  • Dependability: must be able to work independently, accept mentoring, and contribute in a team environment; Discretion: must work with discretion and handle confidential data.

Physical Demands:  



While performing duties of the job, incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment.  Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.





Work Environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
