This full-time position will work credit decisioning and analysis for our business financing products, primarily unsecured merchant cash advances.
The Pricing Underwriting Analyst will report directly to the Director of Underwriting and will be responsible for the initial review and underwriting/pricing of new and renewal business accounts.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in finance, underwriting risk, or analytic roles. They should be comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, be driven to succeed, and be highly analytical & detail oriented. The ideal candidate also needs to be already residing in the Miami, Florida area to be able to make the daily commute to our beautiful offices in Coconut Grove. This position is not offering relocation assistance at this time.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessment and analysis, in order to generate tailored financing solutions for small businesses.
- Review business bank statements and credit profiles, to assess the associated risk and establish appropriate pricing structures.
- Analyze risk factors and look for opportunities to improve risk / reward equation.
- Evaluate pricing strategies and test innovations.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in risk, underwriting, finance or analytical positions.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office.
- Familiar with credit bureaus and other risk assessment tools & comfortable with modeling and risk scoring.
- Business and/or subprime lending experience preferred, but not required.
- Bachelors degree in related field required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
