Primary Care Nurse Practitioner needed at a top facility in Bronx, New York! -This is an onsite position, no remote option.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Takes histories, performs physical examinations, gives immunizations (as necessary) and does patient education and counseling.
- Orders appropriate lab work, draws blood for lab work if needed, and performs some lab tests such as wet prep microscopic exams.
- Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses, and consults with physician regarding medication, chronic illness and referrals when appropriate.
- Maintains legible and appropriate documentation and reviews records periodically. Does follow-up of abnormal pap smears and reportable STDs.
- Attends case conferences involving patients.
- Attends provider meetings and participates in quality improvement programs and team assignments.
- Identifies and categorizes each patients age-specific grouping of needs, such as those infants, adolescent, or geriatric patients.

Schedule is full-time and permanent day shift position.Requirements: - M.S. degree.
- Prior experience working as a NP.
- Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written) preferred.

Salary Range:$130,000 - $135,000 / yearly
