Principal BI Solutions Engineer, National Medical Care, Inc., a Fresenius Medical Care N.A., company, Waltham, Massachusetts (Remote)

Purpose and Scope:

Determines, analyzes, validates, and leads the definition of critical business processes within the framework of an overall business intelligence reporting architecture. Drives the design and implementation of various automated solutions within BI reporting in a framework consistent with other development efforts and collaborates with senior staff, analysts and clinicians, and other stakeholders to analyze and document business requirements and priorities, and to validate solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of BI solutions through design and development, quality assurance, user acceptance tests and production deployment.
• Contribute to the process design for new reporting system creating functional specifications and supporting documentation, detailing impacts of process flows and operations performed by staff on enterprise reports.
• Provide input and recommendations regarding the appropriate use, manipulation and interpretation of data to ensure the accuracy and validity of enterprise reports and reporting applications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise reporting, utilizing in-depth understanding of all aspects of the reporting systems and business information needs.
• Work with the appropriate staff to improve existing systems and to anticipate future direction changes providing scope for future sub-projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance to other analysts in the creation and validation of requirements and design documents, to include use and test cases, business requirements and training aides.
• Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.

Education Experience and Required Skills:

Position requires either: (i) a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT or a closely related field and 7 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or (ii) a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer. Must also have 5 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with either primary experience requirement above), working with the following:
• Project management including leading virtual project teams across broad-based projects;
• Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse methodologies (specifically, Architecting, Designing, and Developing), data warehouse design and the software development lifecycle.
• BI tools including Tableau, MS Power BI and AWS Quick Sights;
• BI Data Prep tools including Knime, Data3Sixty, Tableau Prep;
• Embedding BI dashboards into other solutions including SalesForce, iFrames; and
• BI Tool administration including Tableau Server, deployments, Upgrading, patching.

This is a telecommuting position working from home. May reside anywhere in the United States.
