About The Position

We are currently seeking a creative, client-centric, passionate Principal to drive Evaluates Custom Solutions and Consulting service capabilities. Principals fulfill a leadership role on multiple projects in which they lead the designing and scoping of Norstella-wide capabilities to propel our clients forward during their most complex business challenges. Principals drive new business development by working with our core Sales team members to build and maintain client trust via project work which spans supporting various business needs across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle. Our core capabilities include asset prioritization, portfolio opportunity assessment, competitive intelligence, market landscape assessment, clinical strategy, and trial planning (site and investigator identification) and global market access. Principals provide mentorship to the teams they work with and experience exposure across a wide set of clients and internal functions, this position offers candidates the opportunity to take on a challenging and rewarding role given our bold mission and impact we are seeking to have on global healthcare.

Evaluates Custom Solutions team provides advisory and insights leveraging our own Norstella curated and procured data which is viewed as industry gold standards including real world data and supplemented with primary market research that is then coupled with our deep subject matter expertise across our expansive client base. Our clients span from consulting and advisory firms to large pharmaceutical manufacturers, emerging biotechs, and other supply to Pharma entities. Our current teams reflect industry respected strategists with extensive experience in facing life sciences most pressing challenges.

  • Lead capabilities and scoping discussions across multiple clients to identify and craft creative solutions to answer their key business questions.
  • Serve as main point of contact for client during project scoping, delivery and execution for relationship management, escalation, and future opportunities.
  • Field RFPs and coordinate efforts on proposal writing and submission to ensure high quality responses representing the global capabilities of Evaluate.
  • Consistent collaboration with New Business Development Directors and Strategic Account Management teams is expected to identify opportunities for business alignment. Support pre-sales activity such as therapeutic-specific messaging, aligning market events to emerging client needs and curating targeted insights to drive prospect engagement.
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of business ensuring a smooth transition to the project manager and project team. Remain as strategic oversight on project to ensure positive client experience.
  • Represent capabilities at trade shows and other industry events. Opportunity to host webinar-type sessions on industry-relevant thought leadership content.
  • Manage, grow and develop client relationships in order to achieve business development targets through proposals, upselling/cross-selling existing clients and accounts, and prospective clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in a scientific/ life science or business-related field is required. Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MPH, MBA) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of high performance in a client facing role within the life sciences industry for a minimum of 5 years with proven ability to generate project revenue.
  • Stellar communication & relationship management skills that foster trust and lasting client partnerships with the ability to demonstrate empathy and confidence in interactions with clients.
  • Collaborative team player who is driven to win as part of a team and capable of managing fast paced activities while remaining optimistic.
  • Data driven communicator and ability to synthesize issues quickly and with confidence
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and thrives on winning through continuous improvement
  • Operates with a high level of ethics and communicates with honesty and transparency
  • The ability to consume new learnings, conceptualize and iterate behavior quickly
  • Working knowledge of advanced consulting methodologies, tools, and familiarity with commonly analyzed healthcare datasets such as pharmacy and medical claims, laboratory results, payer data, drug/pipeline, and indication data.

Travel

  • Must be able to travel 50% or more

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $180,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
