Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems at American Airlines; Build and administer on premise and cloud platforms; Lead in proof-of-concepts on emerging technologies; Work with developers and business partners to perform test cases leading to viable new products; Maintain platform reliability, data reliability and data security per American Airlines enterprise requirements; Architect applications within an enterprise data analytics ecosystem; Perform IT architecture, IT discovery, IT processing, IT integration, storage, data science data analytics, and machine learning to lead overall data architecture activities; Work closely with multiple product teams to successfully design and implement solutions by removing roadblocks, cultivating relationships, and effectively communicating across the Enterprise at various levels of leadership.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
Job Location: Ft. Worth, TX
3 years of experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, plus demonstrated experience in: Databases including Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake and SQL Server; Oracle DBA; SQL, UNIX shell scripting, Python, Spark, and R; Creating IT frameworks to comply with privacy regulations; Building CICD pipelines using IBM UCD, Azure DevOps and Jenkins, GITAction; Building data engineering pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Event Hubs; Azure Cloud administrative experience; Database/SQL performance tuning; Airline industry experience; Loyalty Program experience; Customer MDM experience.
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, or related field. A bachelors degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a masters degree plus 3 years of experience.
