Job Description

Principal Network Architect (Cambridge, MA)


In this role, you'll have the opportunity to provide technical leadership in LAN/WAN/DC & cloud networking while also acting as a consultant servicing customer-facing project. Your focus will be on simplifying, standardizing, and optimizing network operations for enhanced security, availability, and service agility across Philips global customer networks.


Your role:


Develop and drive the development of innovative network operations processes and tools from concept to delivery.

Provide technical leadership to handle demands from projects and technology upgrades including recommendations for vendor tools/solutions and global alignment of networks.

Oversight of network operations processes based on a combination of vendors, custom solutions, and internal resources.

Support adoption of new technologies and tools and recommend capability improvements to network and security operations.

Ensure that information security and risk management are embedded within the culture requiring continuous improvement to a complex set of functions to handle security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets.

In collaboration with the larger team, drive research and make strategic recommendations on products, services, and standards.

Build and maintain trusting partnerships with external customers, internal business/technology leaders, and business partners.

Lead a team of network professionals by providing mentorship, leadership, inclusiveness and creating a team with operational excellence.

Direct internal/external customer interactions, functioning in a consultative fashion to ensure that were delivering on customer commitments.


You're the right fit if:


10+ years of network experience with a strong understanding of network architecture, design, operations, and technical leadership (Healthcare experience with an understanding of security/compliance preferred)

Deep understanding of WAN/LAN technologies, Application Load Balancing, Network Security, ADC/LB, and network automation/observability.

Large-Scale Enterprise Operations Experience with a strong knowledge of network planning, performance metrics analysis, and strategic problem-solving.

Proficiency in implementing and managing change control processes within a dynamic network environment.

Experience in consulting large IT organizations leadership on deployment of technology solutions, ideally in both a pre and post sales capacity.

Bachelors and/or masters degree or equivalent work experience (Network certifications are preferred)
