We will count on you to:

Grow Mercers public sector rewards solutions portfolio in the NSW and ACT markets.
Provide strategic rewards consulting advice and direct the delivery of key rewards projects.
Engage and develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government and public sector entities.
Proactively contribute to the public sector and rewards practices strategy and direction, working closely with other Principals, Practice and Sector Leaders to achieve business goals and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop the NSW and ACT public sector markets and Mercers positioning as an expert rewards advisor
Build and manage strong client relationships across key public sector clients
Identify and develop opportunities to grow new business with both existing and new public sector clients.
Lead business development and client relationship management activities to achieve revenue growth
Lead rewards solution design and project delivery to ensure optimal outcomes for clients and Mercer.
Provide trusted advice to senior level public sector clients on complex, significant and/or sensitive issues.
Demonstrate thought leadership through providing strategic consulting advice, developing POVs, and speaking at conferences/ client events.
Actively develop own and others capability through informal and formal learning opportunities.


What you need to have:

Proven track record developing and sustaining business with public sector clients
Demonstrated experience identifying public sector client needs, developing appropriate solutions and successfully selling significant scale consulting interventions
Extensive experience in managing complex projects with a public sector rewards focus, including stakeholder management, solution design, directing project delivery, managing quality of client deliverables, and managing commercial aspects of project delivery
Able to develop trusted advisor relationships with public sector C-Suite level executives
Adopts a public sector C-Suite perspective to organisation, people, and reward challenges
Able to design and implement a variety of solutions, programs and interventions within a public sector context
Able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other service areas on new and extended business development activities, client relationship management and delivery of integrated solutions
Well-developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, carry the conversation and present recommendations at the senior executive or board level.
Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks which impact service offerings and solutions
