Job Description:

The Candidate attributes I am looking for are 3+ years of direct foundry experience, interaction with external customers, strong quality and APQP based analytic background, PPAP experience. PPAP completion is the main deliverable for this job role.

Summary: The main function of a Process Control Engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of manufacturing production. Process Control Engineer role for this assignment will work directly with Suppliers on Quality, Cost, Timeline for successful project implementation. PPAP and APQP completion is a main metric.

Job Responsibilities: Process Control Engineer is responsible to manage successful implementation sourcing and source moves for complex Iron Castings and Machined Iron Castings with internal or external manufacturing sources. PPAP and APQP is a main job function. This position will be responsible for analyzing quote analysis for best TCO Total Cost of Ownership, managing source moves from current to new supplier, monitoring buffer inventory, managing tool moves associated with source change, working closely with Category Buyers, Design Engineers to ensure all requirements for quality, volume, supplier readiness are met, preparing and presenting to Project Stakeholders. This job role responsibility includes scope from quote to production, Candidate needs to have strong Purchasing, business acumen, presentation, computer skills. Experience in Purchasing Business Acumen, Global Team Coordination. Casting, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality experience will all be beneficial.

Skills: PPAP and APQP experience. Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data. Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Ability to evaluate suppliers. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing. Knowledge of supply chain management. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, database management. Power BI and or Tableau experience will be beneficial.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required. PPAP and APQP experience required. 5 years minimum related experience required in any of the following: Purchasing, Casting, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality
