Manufacturing Process Engineer Medical Devices Stents Tubing Catheters Wire Extruded Coated Sterile Packaging 13485 _ (link removed)

Offering generous benefits and compensation to a passionate engineering team member. Assist in development of products (medical tubing, dilators and sheaths, catheters, surgical delivery systems, stents, shaft liners, medical optics). Manage and evaluate all manufacturing processes and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Develop Standard Operating Procedures for department.

*** Use AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks, or similar computer aided design software to develop new manufacturing equipment.

*** Monitor production and perform analytical tests using rheometers, viscometers, thermogravimetric analysis, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, or differential scanning calorimetry.

*** Troubleshoot and improve processes such as coextrusion, wire coating, multi-channel tube extrusion, braided wire and coiled wire reinforced tube extrusion.

*** Run material tests on medical polymers, thermoplastics, nylon, polyethylene, polyester, polyether ether ketone, fluoropolymer, polyimide imide monomers, biodegradable and bioresorbable scaffolds.
