Tennessee Alloys Company, LLC seeks fulltime Process Engineer (Bridgeport, AL). In charge of the production of silicon and silica fume in the required quality and quantity, at a competitive cost and with optimal use of capital. Monitor and optimize all operational aspects (technical, personnel and safety) in co-operation with the Furnace Superintendent to ensure achievement of departmental objectives and coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities with Engineering department. Propose operational plan and budget and implement them when approved and will ensure safe and healthy working conditions through active monitoring of safety systems and ensuring compliance with MHSAct. Guarantee quality of the product and maintain conformity to ISO 9002 standard. Identify and implement continuous improvement in all domains and develop and train all employees, including implement organizational changes and improve productivity. Plan the technical development of the plant, trials, capital expenditures and project with the Engineering department. Ensure the continuity of the production process through rigorous management of risks and monitor daily performance of the plant. Ensure all the standards and documentation are up to date and relevant to daily activities and responsible for performance, work allocation and career development of subordinates.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering or similar field and 3 years of experience in the Ferro-alloy industry, including submerged arc furnace operation and Soderberg electrodes and 3 years of experience with OHS Act (ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSA 45001) and material handling systems knowledge. Must have legal authority to work in U.S. EEOE.
