Procurement Engineer- New Product Development Lead
to join our New Product Introduction Team at Cooper Lighting Solutions in
Peachtree City, GA
(link removed) Youll be responsible for the Procurement deliverables and Supply Chain setup of New Product Introductions and Value Engineering within the Cooper Lighting Solutions Outdoor segment.

What youll do



Ensure all Procurement deliverables are completed including make vs. buy decision, confirmation of initial and final production site, design to cost, Total Cost of Ownership, design for manufacturing, material availability, and handoff to the production facility.

Support operational policies and implementation to achieve divisional objectives for procurement of raw materials and finished goods to ensure a flawless product launch.

Support global sourcing and negotiations efforts (vendor selection, qualification, pricing, terms, quality, and delivery performance), as part of the overall sourcing strategy.

Maintain relationships with key suppliers including measuring suppliers performance and driving improvement plans.

Lead global source and sell efforts for finished fixtures or systems within the assigned product segment.


What youll need



Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related

5+ years' experience on cross-functional product development teams in a project-based setting

Proven track record of successful implementation of annual cost savings through negotiation, VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), product redesign, and effective supplier development/resourcing efforts

Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred

Excellent negotiations skills

Salary:
$115,300 - 169,070


Bonus:
target bonus opportunity - 15%
