My name is Kurt Schmidt and I am a serial entrepreneur. I'm the owner of Inside the Magic and looking for some more rockstar Disney-loving writers to join our team.

Plus movie news for all of your favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars films, covering the most interesting, entertaining, and unique entertainment experiences in the worlds of theme parks, movies, TV, video games, conventions, special events, and so much more.

About the role:

Inside the Magic is looking for an innovative, creative, passionate, and knowledgeable product and affiliate writer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating high-quality content centered around affiliates, gear reviews, merch roundups, and other related topics about theme parks, entertainment, travel, and more.

We are looking to hire a full-time contractor for this role.

We are looking for someone in the U.S. or Europe time zones, and the hours must be between 3 am Eastern (which is 9 am in Paris) and 6 pm Eastern (which is midnight in Paris).

Writers do not need to be available during all of these hours. They are free to choose a schedule during the day that works for them as long as its within this range of time.

This role is perfect for you if you

• Have a passion for Disney and theme park culture.
• Have experience writing product reviews and roundups.
• Live near Disneyland or Disney World so you can test products firsthand.
• Have a deep understanding of affiliate marketing and prior affiliate experience is a plus.

Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

• Writing product reviews and roundups at a high frequency.
• Writing an average of 40 hours per week, including one day every other weekend.
• Research, write, and edit informative and engaging content focused on affiliate, gear reviews, merch roundups, and related topics.
• Test and review products related to Disney and theme park culture.
• Produce content that aligns with ITM's voice, tone, and brand.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely delivery of content.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new products related to Disney and theme park culture.
• Pitch new ideas for affiliate content that align with ITM's goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Experience writing product reviews and roundups.
• Knowledge of Disney and theme park culture.
• Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and informative tone.
• Understanding of affiliate marketing and prior affiliate experience is a plus.
• Preferably able to visit Disneyland or Disney World to test products.
• Strong research skills and ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
