Position Summary
MTI, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and reliable person who likes working with his or her hands to build and assemble wiring parts, harnesses, and similar components. You will have a can-do attitude and like working on your own while in a busy team environment. Your contributions are important in creating awesome medical device products that help doctors and patients. Attention to detail, dependability, cooperation, discipline, and a willingness to learn is key to this position as you grow in your ability to handle various assembly types.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time 40-hours per week.
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Tasks & Requirements
- Work with wires and metal parts to fit them together using power and hand tools—screw gun, tape measure, and tools for cutting, stripping, and crimping.
- Read and understand drawings and instructions in English to determine types of materials or measurements required.
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
- Occasionally lift and move packaged boxes (normally weighing about 30 pounds but could occasionally weigh up to 50 pounds).
- Attention to detail in assembling components accurately to avoid errors in your work.
- Work well with your hands doing repetitive gripping, squeezing, and using your hands and fingers.
- Detail-oriented in following directions, making improvements to your own work, and learning and taking correction when errors occur.
Preferred Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of working with hand tools or assembly.
Work Environment
- Indoors!
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)—safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Work with deadlines.
- Warehouse environment:
- Medium to loud noise levels.
- Occasionally around or near moving parts or machinery.
