Position Overview: As a Product Control Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the financial success of our organization by providing critical support to our trading and risk management teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of tasks, from financial analysis and reporting to risk assessment and compliance. You will have the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and strategy, utilizing your analytical skills to drive informed decision-making and contributing to the growth and stability of our firm. Key Responsibilities: - Financial Analysis: Conduct daily, monthly, and quarterly analysis of trading activities, ensuring accurate profit and loss (P&L) calculations, and investigating any anomalies or discrepancies.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with risk managers to assess and monitor market, credit, and operational risks associated with trading positions. Assist in implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute comprehensive financial reports to key stakeholders, summarizing trading performance, exposure, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Valuation: Assist in the valuation of complex financial instruments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance existing processes and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the product control function.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Production Control Manager, and risk teams to understand trading strategies and provide support in structuring new products and deals.
Qualifications: - Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
